The new ecotourism experience promoted by Ravasqueira is part of a strategy to diversify wine tourism proposals and aims to make wine lovers and the general public aware of the enormous biodiversity of that Alentejo ecosystem and how it impacts and relates positively with the estate's winegrowing activity.
 
The most iconic wine from Ravasqueira, Vinha das Romãs, received great praise in the latest edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles wine competition. It was awarded the Grand Gold Medal and the Revelation Red Wine of Portugal.

While standard 750ml bottles are commonly used for wine storage and ageing, magnum-sized bottles, such as 1.5L and 3L, offer several distinct advantages. Carlota Valente, a well-known ceramist from Arraiolos, has joined forces with Ravasqueira in an initiative to unite ancestral practices of the region. Wine and ceramics come together in a traditional programme that challenges visitors to put their hands in the clay, accompanied by good wines. You can book your workshop directly on the Ravasqueira site (minimum groups of 5 people).
